On April 24, the grid-connection ceremony of the 10MW/20MWh energy storage power station project of Zhongtian Steel Group (Nantong) Co., Ltd. was held in the Nantong park of Zhongtian Steel. Zhang Junjie, Executive Deputy General Manager of Zhongtian Steel (Nantong) Co., Ltd., Zang Xuesong, Deputy General Manager of Zhongtian Steel (Nantong) Co., Ltd. and leader in charge of the Energy Control Center, Fang Shenzhou, Director of the Energy Control Center; Tian Xu, Senior Partner and Customer Officer of Far East Shares, Cheng Ting, Senior Partner and Senior Account Manager of Far East Shares, Delivery Manager Wu Lunzhen; Zhou Lingxia, Executive President of Jiangsu Kunlun Interconnected New Energy Co., Ltd., Chief Engineer Song Zhenghua and other leaders attended the grid-connection ceremony.
The project adopted the Far East Storage Liquid Cooling Energy Storage Container PowerSTROM 5000 20-foot battery cabin, integrating large-capacity 314Ah cells and 104S long Pack technology with a single-side door opening design, achieving higher capacity and efficiency while occupying less area. The capacity of the 20-foot container reaches up to 5.0159MWh, equipped with a smart energy management system, suitable for a wide range of applications such as wind and solar storage, shared stations or large-scale user-side energy storage scenarios.
The Zhongtian Steel's 10MW/20MWh energy storage power station project adopts a two-charge-two-discharge operation strategy invested by the owner itself; using first-class energy efficiency and C5 anti-corrosion grade equipment, ensuring the economy, safety, and reliable operation of the power station. This project helps enterprises optimize their energy structure, improve energy utilization efficiency, reduce energy consumption and costs, respond to the national call for green development and sustainable development, and promote green transformation. The integration of the energy storage system with renewable energy generation effectively increases the proportion of renewable energy in the energy consumption of steel enterprises, reduces reliance on traditional energy sources, lowers carbon emissions, and contributes to achieving the "dual carbon" goals.
